Full Trailer for Dexter: Origins Sin
Set in 1991, the story explores the early years of Dexter Morgan, delving into his transformation into the infamous serial killer we all know. At the center of the series is Dexter's relationship with his adoptive father, police officer Harry Morgan, played by none other than Christian Slater.
Here’s an exciting detail for longtime fans: Michael C. Hall, who portrayed Dexter in the original series, returns as the narrator, adding a familiar touch to this new chapter.
The first season will consist of 10 episodes, premiering December 13 on Paramount+.
My Take
I’ll admit, I started watching Dexter back in the day but never made it to the end. Not because I didn’t love it—I did—but life got in the way, and somehow, the final seasons ended up on my “I’ll finish it later” list. And then... well, you know how that goes.
With Dexter: Origins coming out, it feels like the perfect excuse to dive back into the world of Dexter Morgan. The idea of exploring his formative years, paired with Christian Slater’s involvement, has me genuinely intrigued.
Now the big question: do I pick up where I left off, or start fresh from season one and experience the journey all over again? Either way, this prequel might just be the redemption arc I need to finally close this unfinished chapter of my TV-watching life.
